LOUIS *       Description I have begun thinking about Christmas and the holidays and hope that you will find some great gift ideas.  Our Exclusive SIR WINSTON THE PUG CANDLE was introduced over the weekend.  Take a look.  Get your candles quickly to make sure you have them in plenty of time.  I think that this is a must see for all pet lovers! I have recently acquired a large collection of rare antique vintage pyrography leather postcards.   Pyrography (or Pokercraft) was a popular folk art technique made fashionable during the victorian period.  It involved tracing artwork using a burning stick or poker.  Colored cards are much more desirable.  The collection was primarily collected throughout the mid-West heartland.   The subjects are varied and they are addressed to many parts of the country.This lot is an image of a traditionally dressed ARAB with a CAMEL in the Desert with PYRAMIDS in the background.  The MOTTO reads:  A CAMEL CAN GO EIGHT DAYS WITHOUT A DRINK...WHO WANTS TO BE A CAMEL?  This is a word play underscoring the excessive alcohol consumption popular at the beginning of the 1900s.  Below the image is stamped SOUVENIR OF JEFFERSON CITY, MO.  Also, there is the signature:  ERNST BRAUN.  The reverse is postmarked ST. LOUIS - 1905.  It is addressed to a DR. in ST.
