The species is a Locust. It has a heart, and along with holes that have a slight calcite deposit. The holes are located at  4 to 5 o'clock and at the six o'clock area. The colors are tan, black, gray, brown. The measurements are 8 x 8 3/8 x 1/2 thickness. This round is of outstanding quality, it is the best that you see among our wood. It has great cell structure along with a heart. It is just a Fantastic collector's piece. The petrified wood from the Vantage area is about 15 million years old. Buyer pays shipping costs.
