Frame is brass with a copper tone finish. lots of teardrop prisms around perimeter of light, two blue and one yellow crystals in frame. In the eagle casting at the top the light has "pat'd feb 15,1887". Light has been in family over a century. Some light discoloration on the glass, but otherwise in execellent condtion for its age ,no chips or cracks in glass.On Aug-15-08 at 19:29:28 PDT, seller added the following information:I'm reasonally sure shade is Mother of Pearl. I was able to remove stain on font with dishwashing soap.On Aug-19-08 at 02:16:05 PDT, seller added the following information:I've managed to clean font pretty well. I've also made a careful attempt at cleaning shade. The shade is going to need to be cleaned professionally, it is fairly delicate.
