No damage or repairs, all the candle holders, drip pans, and everything else is original to the piece, no later additions or replacements. Dates to the 19th century from Italy.The menorah for sale is the one pictured with the black background. The menorah with the white background is an 18th century example that went up for auction on March 23, 2004 in New York City. Notice the $20,000 - $30,000 estimate. Then on October 15, 2007 a 19th century example (like mine), SOLD at the same auction house in NYC for almost $20,000 (the hammer price was $15,000, plus 20% buyers commission and 8.375% New York sales tax, so the winner of the menorah paid over $19,500).As some of you know, Italian Judaica always sells well at auction in the past few years, its considered "hot".
