ANTIQUE PERFUME BOTTLE ART DECO, AMETHYST GLASS, BLACK Antique Atomizer, Black Gold Floral Enamel, Moriage Start Price USD 199.99 Current Price USD 199.99 Time Left - Bid Count 1 Buy It Now Price USD 299.99 Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, November 14, 2008 End Time Monday, November 24, 2008 Location Pittsburgh, PA See more about 'ANTIQUE PERFUME BOTTLE ART DECO, AMETHYST GLASS, BLACK' Description Antique Art Deco Perfume Atomizer, app. 6-1/2" tall, from the early 20th century, probably 1910's or 1920's.  The glass appears to be all amethyst - it can be seen in both the bottom as shown and in the thin stem (harder to capture in a photo but definitely amethyst).  The bulbous top is gold and black enameling with raised/painted white dots like Japanese moriage and raised white crescents and a raised floral pattern.  It has its old original hardware including the interesting old bulb.  Even the bulb stem appears to be all there though the last of the threads attaching it near the top have given way.  Note the bulb has a metal circular piece sticking out of it.  That part had fallen inside the bulb, and I was able to pull it out but I may have positioned it with the inside facing out - I'm not sure.  While this atomizer is not marked, it is of high quality like DeVilbiss.The bottle is in wonderful condition.  NO chips or cracks and the enameling is close-to perfect (any imperfections you may think you see are only reflections).  The metal hardware on top is also in great condition - it could use some polishing, but it looks nicely smooth and burnished as it is (a little darker than in the photos because the flash bleaches it).  This appears to be on the bottle tightly so I have not tried to remove it.  The rubber bulb is still soft, the stem has almost all its original thread covering, and the opening inside the stem is wide and looks clear.  It may be possible that the bulb could be re-attached with care and might still work well.  I am happy to answer questions.  I have a 100% eBay buyer satisfaction rating.  My buyers often note that my items are as good or BETTER than described.  They also rave about my careful packing.Packed carefully.
