We have moved into an apartment, and we no longer have room to display this sleigh bell set. It was purchased on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. My wife says that I bought it for a lot of money at least 20 years ago (we must have had a discussion over the amount I paid!!). They are mounted on a leather strap that is about 80 inches in total length; there are no cracks or damage to the leather strap other than old age. The strap has a metal buckle that is solid but rust coated. There is a brass hanger that is in the shape of an anchor, that is 8 inches tall. The anchor frankly is a later addition, but it does hold up the heavy sleigh bell assembly well. There are a total of 25 bells, all cast brass, all in good condition with no cracks or other damage. The bells are cast brass in 'horseshoe pattern' and are in numbered sizes as follows: 2-#1; 4-#2; 4-#3; 2-#4;2-#5; 2-#6; 2-#8; 2-#9; 2-#10, 2-#11, one #13 (the center bell). The individual bells are held by very heavy brass wire each through a slot cut in the heavy belt. Total weight is approximately 8 pounds (on a bathroom scale). All bells have a metal ball in place--these jingle bells all jingle!! Place a Bid!
