This was purchased at a local Florida estate sale. I was told by the son of the deceased that it was purchased by his parents on a trip to Spain in the late 1930's or early 40's and had been in their home for all these years. This is a single wheel, cast iron coffee grinder and appears to be in original condition. The big silver grinder wheel has a light colored wood handle and turns fairly smoothly but catches because there is quite a bit of rust on the grinding gear inside. The cast iron body is painted red on the outside and a cream colored enamel on the inside of the chamber where you pour the coffee beans in. There is a light colored wood drawer that  matches the handle which slides in and out to catch the coffee as it is ground. On one side it is marked "LIE" in raised letters and on the other "Patentado" which is Spanish for patent.  There are holes around the four sides of the base so that this could be bolted to a counter.The paint is worn off in a some places but that just adds character in my opinion There is rust inside as previously mentioned, otherwise, this coffee grinder is in great condition with no missing parts that I can tell. Measurements are 9 1/2" tall by 4 1/4" deep by 4" wide or including the 2" wood handle on the wheel then it would be 6" wide. It weighs 5 pounds 10 ounces.This would make a great display piece in a country or old world decor kitchen.Thanks for bidding.
