ANTIQUE WATLING SLOT MACHINE Blue Seal 25 cent Rare Start Price USD 99.00 Current Price USD 1,125.00 Time Left - Bid Count 24 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, December 01, 2008 End Time Monday, December 08, 2008 Location Seattle, WA See more about 'ANTIQUE WATLING SLOT MACHINE Blue Seal 25 cent Rare' Description This is an Antique Watling Blue Seal Model 25 cent Slot Machine.  It has 3 reels featuring Bell Gum Fruit, cast aluminum and oak and is in very nice original condition, with no repairs or modifications.  It was manufactured by the Watling Co. in Chicago in about 1929.  This unit is a rare 25 cent version of this manufacturers models of which the 5 cent and the 1 cent are most common.  I’ve had this machine for 20 years and had it lubricated once.    This slot machine measures about 24” tall x 16” long x 15” wide and weighs 70 pounds.  The quarters can be seen in the reel and jackpot window, and contains a total of about $30.00 to $40.00.  The reel window glass and the jackpot glass are both intact, clear and have no damage.  There are no cracks or breaks in the castings.  The oak cabinet has a very nice patina and is in great shape.  The graphics and paint are bright and colorful and are still in very nice condition.  The handle on the side pulls down smoothly and is in nice condition.   The back door is black, all intact, and has a key and lock which is a rarity in itself.  There are directions and descriptions on the inside of the door which are clear and easy to read. There are 2 small areas, one on the top and one on the lower right bottom, that have worn away.   The cashbox slides perfectly in and out.  The mechanisms inside are all intact.  I found 8 numbers/letters on the inside and 1 on the outside.  The one outside is located on the top left side and says: “43157”.  I didn't take the inside mechanisms out so  I could not see all of the numbers/letters. However some of them are: "L414 W.M.CO. "(on top inside), "W.M.CO. OL 418,  L465, L10, L.75.W.M., L482, L172 WM, and WATLING  L42_?"( on upper left  front inside).   This machine is in excellent shape for its age!  It is in great working condition and I see no problems at all.  Please see the pictures- there are some reflections from the camera flash and sun.  This Antique Watling Blue Seal 25 cent Slot Machine would make a great addition to anyone’s game room or collection!   Due to the laws regulating the sale of antique slot machines, I, as the seller, will not sell to members in the states of Alabama, Connecticut, Hawaii, Indiana, Nebraska, South Carolina, and Tennessee.  Bids from members residing in any of these states will be canceled.   Thanks for looking and bidding!     Place a Bid!
