It is breech loading, # 10 bore...It appears the maker rushed the mounting of the barrel to the carriage, as it is slightly cocked to one side.....Just a super nice antique slaute cannon for celebrating, parading, and displaying.....I purchased it from the original family, that claimed thier grandfather built the barrel, while working in the Colt factory in Connecticut, during the  early 1900s.....If desired, this Family info will be provided.............See other FINE cannons being listed....
