And   3 cent sesquicentennial 1937, first day cover, Issued september 17, 1937, this cover postmarked sept 21, 1937. With letter written by famous writter of california " Dick Mack ". A Greeting Card that is hand Painted by the native  indians  who lived around the RIVERSIDE CALIFORNIA MISSION'S. I have researched this information and no one has seen copper sheets hand panted like this before. The missions were hotels in association with Sherman INDIAN SCHOOL, Know as Sherman Institute. Moved to Riverside California in 1903. Student from the school worked  at the hotel Housekeeping, and crafted furniture,The American Indian basket collection,  and many collectibles for the visitor to buy. Very early they worked in Copper and Tin Metal.
