Could be used as DOORSTOPS. BOTH ARE SIGNED "KBW" & "ART BRONZ" and  SCULPTOR SIGNED - THE BEAR by 'DEAN' and THE BULL by what appears to be 'M. DELLEMARE' (it is difficult to discern exactly so this is a guess without the aid of the KBW Artists list) However, I do have a copy of the original Kathodion Bronz Works catalogue (see below for the Buy it Now purchaser) The catalogue shows them to be 8 inches long and 6 1/2 inches high. I take that to be an average as the Bull is higher and 1/2 inch longer and the Bear is shorter but almost a full inch longer. So shipment weight would be around 14 - 15 lbs. CONDITION: The Bear looks to be in very good condition, save a little dust,  with felt on the bottom (not sure if it is original). The Bull is quite dust-worn (if I can use a book collector term) from sitting openly, perhaps in more dusty conditions and there is a small spot, on the hill, under his belly(see picture 7), where the original bronze coating did not cover and the factory obviously added another "glob" of bronze, a smaller portion of which has broken away and there is a small discoloured area where the base (ground) meets the underside of the bookend. These  not very noticeable in the normal useable position but could be darkened if the buyer wanted the figure cleaned and totally matching. I am not one to fool with what "use and age" has occasioned. The Bull has lost its original felt but would be easy to cover both bottoms in a matching felt of your choosing.
