Each pen has a photo image that floats back and forth or up and down inside a clear window. There was a time when float pens were commonly found at tourist traps, airports, museums, amusement parks and travel plazas, but they have disappeared from many locations. This pen is in the Classic Eskesen style. If you are unfamiliar with Eskesen floaty pens... this is a picture of an Eskesen pen in their classic style. The top portion of the pen is a clear window where the artwork is displayed. Roll the pen over and the 'caption panel' is on the backside. Classic style pens have a metal pocket clip. The tip and body of the pen are usually in matching colors, but not always. Twist the corrugated tip, at the bottom of the pen, to expose/retract the writing point. I do have refills for this style.
