Description
One of a kind, collection of Air Force One and the Presidential Jet Fleet. The three models are all top of the line quality. These are not hollow plastic or carved wood, these are solid cast resin, heavy models, with terrific finish and details. These are the kind of models that would be displayed on an airline CEO's desk. They are all on scale of 1:100. The 747, Air Force One, is huge! It measures 28" long and a 24" wingspan!! The next aircraft is often called Air Force Two because it's normally used by the Vice President. It's also used by the Secretary of State quite often. As you probably know, Air Force One is only designated when the President is aboard, and Air Force Two is only called out when the Vice President is aboard. Air Force Two is actually a Boeing 757. This model is 19" long with a 15" wingspan. The last model is a Boeing 737 which is designated as a C40B. It's used by other ranking military and Congress persons, and for short flights. The first large photo was taken during the 2004 campaign and there's a mean looking all metal appearing press plane on the taxiway with Air Force One pulling out behind it. It's an awesome photo-my favorite! It has a thin metal frame and the outside dimensions are 18" x 12". The photo of Air Force One landing is also terrific and it is 19-1/2" x 13-1/4". The photo of Air Force One over Mt. Rushmore is distorted due to the flash. It's a great picture and the heads on Mt. Rushmore and the airplane itself are more in balance with the rest of the photo without the flash. That one has a wooden frame and is 16" x 13". There are two photos of the 757 and they are both in wooden frames and are 11-3/4" x 9-3/4" and 7-3/4" x 5-3/4". The picture of Marine One Helicopter is 11-3/4" x 9-3/4" All of the frames are matching black. Additionally, there is a small American and Air Force flag display, a Presidential cobalt blue with gold trim Air Force One coffee cup, and three Air Force One/Presidential stamped golf balls. There is also an Air Force One crewmember cap! BONUS ITEM-ADDED 12/7/08 Beautiful Air Force One Book, new, many great pictures! Great to display with the other items. See photo added. I displayed these items in my office at work for the past 3 years. Everyone loved coming into my office to see the collection. I will tell you how I displayed them as a suggestion/guide for you. Behind my desk, I had a 6 foot long credenza against a solid wall. The entire collection was displayed there. On the left of the credenza, I had the 747 facing straight to the center, I had the 737 in the middle of the credenza against the wall, facing straight out towards you. And, on the right side of the credenza, I had the 757 angled towards the center. In the spaces that were left on the credenza top, I filled them in with the little flag display, coffee cup and golf balls, crew cap, and a couple of the smaller pictures (which have desk mounts) and then I randomly arranged the larger pictures on the wall behind it. It looked like a museum display. I'm disabled/retired now and I don't have any son's or grandson's. All girls (but I love em'). And, I don't have a home office, nor am I going to be moving anytime. I would hate to see these end up in storage. They should be enjoyed and passed on. Good luck and don't let this pass you by! FREE shipping to continental U.S. only
