Description
Buenilum Cocktail Shaker SetbyFrederick BuehnerYou are bidding on a very art deco, highly-collectible Buenilum cocktail shaker set by Frederick Buehner. The name Buenilum comes from a combination of the words Buehner and aluminum. The shaker measures 11-1/2 inches tall x 4-1/4 inches in diameter. The matching tray measures 10-7/8 inches in diameter. The matching ice bucket is 5-1/4 inches tall and 6-3/8 inches in diameter. The matching ice tong is 6-3/4 inches long. ca. 1947.I’m a passionate cocktail shaker collector. I've decided to release a portion of my collection so others can fortify their collection with truly unique and rare shakers. Over the past two decades, I have amassed a colossal assortment of highly collectible cocktail shakers, most of which are flawless and extremely rare. Astute collectors often scour antique and thrift shops and estate and garage sales for years to find these extraordinary pieces. Sizeable, premium collections of cocktail shakers and barware, such as the one I have listed on ebay, are real mother lodes! Click on the "View seller's other items" link and seize this opportunity to start your own collection or to fortify you current collection. Although I will not offer combined purchase discounts, I will combine shipping to save you money. The condition of this shaker set is impressive ... you won't find a better set! The shaker has minor/fine surface scratches from routine polishing. If you lift out the shaker lid, the side of the lid has some gouges (not visible when the lid is inserted into the shaker). The cocktail shaker lid is easy to remove/replace. The ice bucket, ice tongs and tray has some scratches from usage and polishing. The handles of the serving tray are solid and firmly attached to the tray.Stamped on the bottom of the shaker, tray and ice bucket:[Buenilum castle mark]B. W.BUENILUMThis cocktail shaker is featured on page 197 of "Vintage Barware Identification & Value Guide" by Stephen Visakay (1997). It was valued at $165-$195 10+ years ago when this book was published. Assuming 4% annual inflation, today's value would be $255-$300. But this valuation is for the cocktail shaker only - this ebay auction is for a rare and hard-to-find complete set! This item will ship within 48-hours of receipt of payment. Insurance is optional and recommended as the seller is not responsible for damage that occurs in transit. If ground delivery is chosen by buyer, seller has option of using either DHL or UPS for ground shipping. Although I will not offer combined purchase discounts, I will combine shipping to save you money on multiple purchases if they are all purchased and paid within 24 hours of eachother.U.S. bidders only please.
