That worked out pretty well since Alvin started making the Chapel Bell pattern in 1939. This is a setting for 8 (less one soup spoon). Each piece is sterling silver, not plated except for the knife blades which are stainless steel. I believe the luncheon, carving knives and pie server can be called hollow-ware as they don't seem to have ... hollow handles. The box is a quality wood box that shows a little wear. It has dovetailed corner joints. The liner has no holes, just the label - hard to read in the photo -" Naken's Tarnish Proof Silverware Chest made and guaranteed by M I Naken Chicago".
