She did the sketches of the trial of James Earl Ray in 1977 on the escape from Brushy Mountain State Prison. At that time she was working for a Knoxville Television Station. The following year she married James Earl Ray. They remained married for 14 years, divorcing in 1993. This is a one of a kind, original painting. I purchased this from Ms. Ray directly, shortly after she created it. It has graced our homes wall since then.
