A Great Gift for a BIRDER!   This particular vintage 1920's GLASS LANTERN SLIDES COLLECTION were made by Photographer EDWARD VAN ALTENA are Custom Matted & Mounted on a LIGHT BOX for easy display.    As a TV & Movie DIRECTOR and a lifetime member of the Director's Guild of America, (D.G.A.) I am offering some rare props & collectibles from some great motion pictures, rare artifacts and antiques. These very RARE Large Antique "Audubon Style" Slides were made and used by this famous Australian Museum in Sydney and is part of a collection we acquired... This first SLIDE measures approximately 3" Long and approximately 2 1/2" High and is art of AUSTRALIA in comparison to the European countries... This second SLIDE measures approximately 3" High and approximately 2 1/2" Wide and is art of TWO BIRDS (Cardinals?) This third SLIDE measures approximately 3" Long and approximately 2" High and is art of a RAVEN...   This fourth SLIDE measures approximately 3" Long and approximately 2" High and is art of the WILLIE WAGTAIL or WHITE FANTAIL... This fifth SLIDE measures approximately 3" High and approximately 2 1/2" High and is art of three Birds on a branch... These beautiful, color ORIGINAL vintage 1920's large magic lantern glass SLIDES are custom matted and framed in this wood light box.  It has a fluorescent lamp hand-mounted (not professionally mounted) inside the frame from the back...it works in a U.S. plug and is 110 volts.  Attached to the glass on the front of the frame is this brass plaque that reads: "PROJECTOR SLIDES, circa 1920's, AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM SYDNEY, Photographer Edward Van Altena." The overall light box frame measures approximately 15" x 12" and is ready to light up and display on a shelf or table or give as a gift to the ornocologist or bird watcher in your family!  ThThis unusual slide collection can be seen with the room lights on or with the lights out.   The original vintage SLIDES have been stored in an acid free case in a smoke free environment since being acquired.
