They were purchased as a lot 10+ years ago at an auction that included items from an old bootery in town. Don’t know the ages or sizes; although they all seem small (size 6 or 7). From left to right: (1) Black leather boot. 20” tall. Right boot only. Small cut in shank near ankle, still displays nicely. Heels are nailed. (2) Brown leather boot, partial lace boot. 19” tall. Left boot only. Heel has “Goodyear Wing Boot. Note inside: “This pair of boots and trees were made for me by military prisoners at the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Made around 1923”. Don’t know if this boot, or any of the other boots, is the boot mentioned in the note. (3) Black leather boot. 17” tall. Right boot only. Square nails in heel. Inside pressed into leather, “J. Lorimer & Son 162 Union St Aberdeen”. Small cut in shank near ankle, still displays nicely. (4) Black leather boot. 16-1/2” tall. Right boot only. Leather worn. Looks to be an older boot. (5) Brown leather boot, full lace boot. 15-1/2” tall. Left boot only. This listing is for all 5 boots. Trees, 3 of them, are sold separately.
