However, it does have an engraved marking on the Silver Neck that states STERLING But it is clear that this is a very beautiful and elaborate Decanter made in the early 20th Century and this is a fine example of centuries old craftsmanship. Here is a beautifully shaped and modelled Bottle with a slender neck for easy pouringThe Glass with Sterling Neck Stands 9 1/4" high the Stopper is made like a perfume stopper hand cut in the shape of a daisy with a flat highly polished top The part of the stopper that is inserted in the bottle has a acid etched Lalique-like finishand the inside of the shapely cover has a Silver insert with openings for straining ice. Cap is also silver. I believe this to be very fine and heavy silver plate There are no markings that I can see. the total height of the Shaker is 10 1/4" tall 4" Diameter at its widest point 2 3/4" diameter at the base Features exquisitely incised hand cut band of inset pleats that get narrower towards the bottomAnd the cuts get wider as it reaches the shoulders of the bottle This is an elegant Antique Piece with the timely charm of being a perfect addition for the sophisticated Cocktail Vogue The top could use a little polishing, but I leave that to you.
