This is an extremely unusual case. When you tilt the case in the light the enamel shapes move as they reflect light strongly resembling the work of Escher. The case is in very good used condition showing normal signs of wear. The enameling is 99 percent intact showing only some minor loss along the lower left hand corner and the upper border corners. Weight 122 grams. Height 3 1/4 inches. Width 3 inches. Depth 1/4 inch. The case opens easily when you depress the button and closes firmly when you shut it. It has a gold wash interior. It is hallmarked 935 with a crown and crescent moon along the inside border of the case. This indicates country of manufacture Germany. Circa early 1900's.
