Snyder's Treasures is pleased to offer An Original and Authentic World War II Berghof FIND GERMAN Wartime Altered GLOBE of World This is the real deal! This is a 14 inch world globe and stand retrieved from the Berghof. This globe is completely in German and shows the world political divisions as they existed in 1941 prior to Pearl Harbor and the US entry into the war.  The German borders are shown to include conquest of Poland and the annexation of Austria and occupation of France. There is an eagle maker marks on the Pacific Ocean, just above the US Territory of Hawaii. Of additional interest are the Zeppelin Airship routes to North and South America, the Mediterranean and Middle East, and the around the world route of the Graf Zeppelin. the  and a view from the  showing the very detailed embossed eagle. It measures 14 inches (35cm) in diameter, the stand measuring 21-1/2 high with a walnut base 8 inches in diameter.  There is an embedded 1 inch diameter German compass with heavy beveled glass crystal in the base. Magnetic north is indicated for the globe's location in Germany. The condition is near excellent throughout.  There is no damage, flaws or imperfection apparent. This is a very rare globe, as it was early wartime production and the borders and political boundaries underwent significant changes in the next year. Shipping is $25.00 to US destinations.
