Colt1860 Army Stamp Set 6 Pieces Hardened Steel Nice Start Price USD 399.00 Current Price USD 399.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, August 11, 2008 End Time Thursday, August 21, 2008 Location holt,mi See more about 'Colt1860 Army Stamp Set 6 Pieces Hardened Steel Nice' Description these are made from artwork scanned fron actual 1860 colt army pistals. these were very time consuming in the making. lots of scans and tracings.plus very dificult lettering to engrave due to size and letter style. for that reason we made very few sets of these. the patent date has a few variations. this stamp reads pat. sept 10th 1850. the stamps are all hardenerd tool steel with the ends drawn back to prevent chipping. they are all 4-1/2 in long and different widths to acomadate lettering. the 2 larger stamps are for the top of the barrel and so long it was made in 2 pieces so easier to stamp. the sizes and lettering style came right from actual original guns.so you get the 2 long address stamps for the barrel. the cylinder stamp that reads colts pat. no. 1 stamp is for the lines above and below the colts pat stamp. the colts patent stamp for the frame above trigger. and the date stamp for cylinder below the line of the colt pattend stamp. covers the whole gun except for the separate number stamps. these characters are very clean but the pictures look a bit blury. satisfaction guranteed.  any questions please ask.  thanks no reserve.
