I am new to eBay and will be starting out by selling a collection of Dunhill pipes. This collection was accumulated over the last 35 years by a private party out of the Los Angeles area, who has decided to dispose of his treasures. As I am not an expert, I am attempting to describe the pipes as best I can; hopefully, each image will be able to speak a thousand words. Thank you and happy bidding!   An extremely rare Dunhill Root Briar pipe made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Tinder Box. Produced in 1978, it commemorates the opening of The Tinder Box in 1928 in Santa Monica, CA. The original 18 karat gold band has all of the appropriate hallmarks with The Tinder Box logo engraved atop the band. The nomenclature reads, “65691,” inscribed over Dunhill with “244” below. The dimension of the bowl is approximately 1 7/8 (1.875) inches high and the length of the pipe is approximately 6 inches.   ALL PIPES OFFERED HAVE CLEANED; HOWEVER, I SUGGEST TAKING THEM TO A PROFESSIONAL TOBACCONIST TO HAVE THEM PROPERLY SANITIZED.
