Description
Pablo Picasso Photograph of "Kvinnohuvud" signed by Picasso and Carl Nesjar, Norwegian artist. A tergo stamped Copyright Carl Nesjar. The unique 15 meter high sculpture "Kvinnohuvud" (Woman's head) was inaugurated in Halmstad, Sweden, in 1971 and donated to the town by Picasso. The stature is made of white artificial stone. Model for the statue was Picasso's wife Jacqueline Roque. At the time Picasso was 90 years old and it was Carl Nesjar who made the statue after the drawings by Picasso. They were good friends since the 50ths and co-operated a lot. The photograph is hand signed in the upper left corner by Picasso and down to the lower left by Nesjar. With signatures there is an limited edition by 12. The photograph is glued on top to a passepartout.
