Description
S. S. Halifax Scale 1/8" = 1' 0" Overall length 31.25" The S.S. Halifax was built by Lon & Gls. Co. Glasgo, Scotland in 1888. It's length was 250'. It was owned by the Canadian Atlantic plant S. S. Co. Halifax, Nova Scotia. In 1908 The S. S. Halifax would make regular stops at Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia picking up passengers en route from New York to London, England. The S.S. Halifax is a museum quality replica of the original S.S. Halifax built from scratch using a scaled down copy of the original blueprints. It's displayed in a Solid Oak Glass Case with a Black Brass Name Plate. This model was built by Mr. Mark Boudreau of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia who has been building model ships since he was 17 years old. To date he has constructed a total of 28 models of ships.
