Description No Reserve! Note: The line in the images between the 2nd "N" in SENSATION and the "S" in COMICS is not on the comic... It's from the CGC holder, which, by the way is in perfect condition with no cracks or problems. This auction is for a beautiful Restored CGC graded Fine Minus (5.5) copy of Sensation Comics #1 with Off-White to White interior pages, published by DC in January, 1942.  It features the second appearance of Wonder Woman anywhere, in a story continued from All-Star 8.  It also features the origins and first appearances of Mr. Terrific, and Wildcat.  Stories by Marston, Finger, Moldoff and Fox, with artwork by Moldoff, Hasen and Peter, as well as a fantastic HG Peter Wonder Woman cover. This copy was somewhat miscut at the bindery, so when it was restored, page 16 was slightly trimmed to eliminate its extending over the rest of the book.  It was cleaned and pressed and the staples were replaced with vintage staples and it was reinforced to help preserve it.  There was also some minor color touch-up done on the cover and a few tears were sealed along the right edge.  There are some nicks and stress lines at the spine and edges, but it's an absolutely gorgeous looking book! This is an extremely tough book to find in any condition...  According to the CGC census, there are only 10 higher graded unrestored copies of Sensation Comics 1 that have been certified by CGC... And this copy is one of the top 25 graded copies, restored or unrestored.  In this condition, were it an unrestored copy, this one would probably sell for over $10,000.00.  Opening bid is a reasonable 1/2 of that value...  Unfortunately, my scanner sucks, so the images are pretty lousy.  Still, it's a really nice looking book!  I can probably email a somewhat better picture (maybe), so email me if you want one...
