Description
Here's a excellent earlier E.G. BOOZ'S OLD CABIN WHISKEY bottle in a light blue. Courtesy of Tom Haunton, author of Tippecanoe & E. G. Booz Too, this bottle has been identified as a '40's reproduction made for the Dell Company of Bridgeton (now Millville) NJ using a mold proviously owned by the Clevenger Brothers Glass Company of Clayton NJ. In the book it is identified as GVII-10. Still a scarce bottle, it was purchased with a lot of many other early American collectibles. Embossed details are weak, but visible, except for the finer details of the door and windows on the front, which can be seen to be present, but have no significant details other than the door latch, a horizontal S, which is centered in the middle of the door. The bottle has no mold seam lines whatever clear to the top. The neck itself varies from most in that it is a little shorter and has a round collar rather than the straight tapered collar normally seen. The base has a recessed circular center with a prominent pontil at its very center. All edges are rounded and the roof line curves down at the ends. On the front of the roof is E.G. BOOZ'S/ OLD CABIN/ WHISKEY. The reverse side of the roof is embossed 1840. The left side panel is marked 120 WALNUT S/ PHILADELPHIA while the right side panel is marked E.G. BOOZ'S/OLD CABIN/ WHISKEY. The glass is wavy throughout and has tiny interior bubbles. Very nice bottle and in mint condition. Please read the payment instructions and return policy below prior to bidding. Thanks.
